Beyond PST; Destined for Greatness (Podcast)
This session may be one of our most important episodes. With so many movements happening today such as #METOO and on behalf of people silently experiencing Post Traumatic Stress, we thought for this segment, to cover the important steps of asking for help and the journey of recovery. If you or someone you know is experiencing depression or post-traumatic stress, you’ll want to listen to this podcast.
We continued our conversation with this week’s SHE VET iNSPIRES episode (airing on Thursday, June 27) when we interviewed America’s Combat Nurse, Ms. Cherissa Jackson. Although she’s a U.S. Airforce Retired Nurse and a Single Mother, she never retired her coat. She continues serving in other magnitudes such roles as being an Author, Philanthropist, Advocate, and Ambassador for Post-Traumatic Stress. She now realizes the importance of her mission and has no plans to slow down anytime soon. In her own word Jackson says, “I’m just getting started.”
You may have recently seen her appear as one of the Top 25 People To Know when it comes to PTSD, on Good Day D.C., Fox 5, or perhaps read her book “From Pieces to Peace,” and soon you’ll see her on our own SHE VET iNSPIRES Television Show.
Jackson encountered 4 tours to Iraq and Afghanistan which is why she advocates for Post-Traumatic Stress in addition to providing clinical treatments for women diagnosed with cervical cancer in Uganda through her nonprofit Project Give Hope. We’re so excited to introduce this amazing woman to the SHE VET community. In this segment, she guides listeners through the five-step process of self-identifying PST, and how to create a “stress-less” plan for gaining control of your life again.
SHE VET TALKS Podcasting is Hosted by Sistah Soldier, a Transformation Coach, Career Strategist, Serial Entrepreneur, and Producer of the SHE VET iNSPIRES Television Show. We’re helping women develop career strategies, live lifestyles that matter, experience healthy living and build wealth for her future.
